Theoretical Studies of Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes for Synthesis and Growth MechanismBy Pradeep Kumar Khiriya, Jyotsna Chauhan
Abstract: The term ‘controlled production’ of single-wall nanotubes SWNT implies the ability to control the selectivity towards SWNT by changing catalyst formulations and operating conditions, combined with a quantitative measurement of the SWNT obtained. In this contribution, a significant advancement towards the controlled production of SWNT is reported. A family of Fe-Ru catalysts has been found to be able to produce SWNT with high selectivity, depending on the -Ru ratio, the …

Synthesis and Characterization of Size Tuned CdS Quantum DotsBy Jyotsna Chauhan, Varsha Rani Mehto, Deepika Soni
Abstract: CdS nanoparticles are synthesized using chemical precipitation at room temperature. Cadmium sulfide is one of the most promising materials for solar cells and of great interest for their practical applications in up to electronics and photonics. The optical properties get modified due to the confinement of charge carrier within the nanoparticles. The physical and chemical properties of these nanoparticles are found to be size dependent. The crystallite sizes of cadmium …

Synthesis and Characterization of Cadmium Doped Nickel Oxide NanoparticlesBy Jyotsna Chauhan, Varsha R. Mehto, Abhishek Kumar Tiwari
Abstract: In present work, the authors have synthesized cadmium doped nickel oxide with diameter range 30.6 nm by the co-precipitation method. Properties of the nickel oxide have been tuned by doping of the cadmium at different concentration. Different characterization techniques i.e. XRD, FTIR, PL and UV- visible have used to study the properties of synthesised nanoparticles. The size of nanoparticle is characterized by XRD also UV visible spectrum shows that absorption …

Synthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles Using Different pH ValuesBy Jyotsna Chauhan, Varsha R. Mehto, Neeraj Malviya
Abstract: ZnO nanoparticles have been prepared via simple precipitation technique. The size of ZnO nanoparticles was tuned by using different concentration of sodium hydroxide. The as-grown nanoparticles were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy, PL spectroscopy and FTIR analysis. XRD results confirmed the tuning of size of ZnO nanoparticles with decreasing the concentration of sodium hydroxide. Absorption results show the blue shift in the peak position with decreasing the …
