  Abstract: The present invention is to formulate and evaluate a novel medicated mouth rinse using Achyranthes aspera extract in an oil-based formulation. The herb Achyranthes aspera, which has long been used for medicinal purposes, was chosen because of its purported anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities.
