Experimental Investigation of SCC Using Glass FiberBy E. Sureshkumar, Gobinath R, S. Jegadeesan, K. Manimuthu, Sivanesan, S. Rathinamoorthy
Abstract: An attempt is made to study the effect of glass fiber impregnation in self-compacting concrete; glass fiber which may aggregate together is added as reinforcing agent. Glass fiber was added in concrete 0.25, 0.5 and 1% by weight of cement. The fine aggregate is replaced with manufactured sand (M sand) in various percentages. Glass fiber added increased the compressive strength to considerable value and also it is found that the …

Experimental Investigation of Self-Compacting Concrete Using Coir FiberBy E. Sureshkumar, S.Jegadeesan, K.Manimuthu, K.Sivanesan, S.Rathinamoorthy
Abstract: Concrete is the construction material widely used throughout the world. Construction materials used in the industry should be friendly with the environment during their usage. Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is an innovative concrete that does not require vibration for placing and compaction. It is able to flow under its own weight, completely filling formwork and achieving full compaction, even in the presence of congested reinforcement. The hardened concrete is dense, homogenous …

Characteristic Studies on Self-compacting Concrete using Nano Silica with Copper SlagBy E. Sureshkumar
Abstract: The paper examines the possibility of using copper slag as partial replacement of sand and Nano Silica as partial replacement of cement and super plasticizer and Viscosity Modifying Agent are used in self compacting concrete, in order to overcome problems associated with cast-in-place concrete. Self compacting concrete does not require skilled labours. The percentage of copper slag to be added is 10 %, 20 %, 30 % of total weight …
