  A Review of Danti (Baliospermum montanum Muell. Arg.) from Ayurvedic Perspective

  Abstract: Danti is classical example of Virechak Prabhava given by Charkacharya. The botanical source of Danti is Baliospermum montanum Muell. Arg, belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae. Information regarding this drug is available in the classical text of Ayurveda. This review recollects the information related to Danti from Brihatrayi and Laghutrayi (1500BC–600AD), Sangraha Grantha’s, almost all the Nighantus and other texts (800AD–1900AD).
